Amz Guidelines to Cleaning Procedures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 With everything going on around the Coronavirus (Covid-19), and the states and nation beginning to reopen we have added additional procedures for our housekeepers to follow when cleaning our vacation rentals. The safety of our housekeepers, guests, owners, and the public are our top priority. To assist in the preventing the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Amz Getaways will be using a EPA approved hospital grade disinfectant approved to combat the SARS-COVID-19 in addition to enhanced cleaning procedures. This disinfectant called Vital Oxide can be applied to all surfaces and is safe and unscented. We've put together some guidelines we've instructed our housekeepers to put in action based on the recommendations of the CDC, and other leaders in our industry. Amz's Cleaning guidelines Amz is offering some guidelines to follow when we are cleaning the properties in between stays. 1. When available our cleaners will wear disposable gear while cleaning. Personal protective items like gloves and face masks or cloth facial coverings will provide additional protection. Making sure to dispose the PPE out after each cleaning and then immediately and thoroughly wash their hands. 2. Instructing our cleaners to ventilate rooms before they clean. Amz Getaways is requesting our housekeepers and owners allow fresh air to circulate in our properties and if possible, leave all windows open during the entire cleaning process. 3. Encourage frequent hand washing thoroughly before and after each cleaning, or glove change. As we've all heard we ask them to use soap and water, and wash for at least 20 seconds. If that's not possible, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. 4. We request that they clean, then disinfect. Using household and commercial grade cleaners, detergents, or soap and water to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs. Once this has been done the property will be disinfected with the approved disinfectant Vital Oxide using a sprayer and electrostatic sprayer to distribute the product. 5. Using the right disinfectants. We are paying special attention to frequently touched surfaces, like lamp and ceiling fan chains, light switches, doorknobs, remote controls, and faucet handles. (See our full list of surfaces we aim to disinfect further in this guideline.) 6. We will also address the sofas, rugs, drapes, and other soft, porous surfaces. Carefully clean then disinfect with the appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces. If possible, machine-wash items according to the manufacturer's instructions.? 7. We've instructed our team to wash all linens at the highest heat setting recommended. This includes washing the bed sheets, mattress covers, hand and bath towels, kitchen towels, and blankets. Applying a disinfectant to the surfaces while the linens are being washed. Our housekeepers are instructed to wear gloves when handling dirty laundry, and take care to avoid shaking laundry. ? 8. Empty the vacuum cleaner after every cleaning. Amz Getaways team members should wipe down the vacuum cleaner with disinfectant, along with appliances like the dishwasher and washing machine. Amz Getaways is committed to helping guests protect themselves although we have had this in place for many years, but want to help encourage social distancing by continuing to offer self check-in and checkout using key lockboxes and smart locks with a keypad. Great 2 bedroom/2 bath home with large kitchen, dining and living areas with windows across width of house overlooking Canyon Lake. Our 2-bedroom home has ample space to enjoy the out-of-doors, utilizing the 4 main "outside living areas": 1) Spacious porch overlooking Canyon Lake, connected directly to the house with 3 ceiling fans across the 35 foot expanse, a great porch swing located on one side and a large picnic table, seating 8, located in the middle of the porch area; 2) 400sf deck with two tables providing seating for 8, located on a level slightly lower than the house and porch--great for morning and evening meals and gatherings; 3) A stone patio, nestled in oaks and cedars, is located at a great vantage point to view the fire pit and Canyon Lake. This level is closer to the Lake shoreline and great to use as a base for enjoying the Lake or to sit and watch the numerous boats, kayaks and swimmers on the Lake. We have ample wildlife with sightings of fox, roadrunners, raccoons, birds galore and, of course, abundant deer that visit each morning and evening (and in between if you will feed them) looking for corn which we provide for your enjoyment. Many will eat from your hand! Just remember they are wild and as such caution should always be observed when interacting with wildlife. Stairs and a path lead to the Lake shoreline where you can kayak, boat, water-ski, sail, paddle board, snorkel, fish, jet ski, or just lay on a float and watch the clouds go by and the activity on the Lake. Or if you prefer, take a swim and enjoy the cool, refreshing Canyon Lake. Boats, kayaks, etc., can be anchored just offshore. Another relaxing location at our home to pass the day (or night) is sitting on the porch-swing reading, contemplating life, and/or watching others enjoying water activities. What you have to look forward to: **Take the steps down to the Lake to take a dip in the cool. clear, refreshing water of Canyon Lake. Get the kids and go fishing at the water's edge. **Feed the deer that congregate at the front door (some will feed from your hand!). **Watch the numerous boaters/jet-skiers and other water activity from the privacy of 4 locations on the property. **Don't forget to plan carefully for the sunset!: Gather round with your cool refreshments of choice and settle in to watch the unforgettable sunset. Each evening is different so you don't want to miss the show! As the fireball finally settles down behind the hills, toast the wonderful day, ring the bell (located on the back porch) and plan for the next fun-filled day! **A second firepit is conveniently located in close proximity to the house. Amz Guidelines to Cleaning Procedures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 With everything going on around the Coronavirus (Covid-19), and the states and nation beginning to reopen we have added additional procedures for our housekeepers to follow when cleaning our vacation rentals. The safety of our housekeepers, guests, owners, and the public are our top priority. To assist in the preventing the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Amz Getaways will be using a EPA approved hospital grade disinfectant approved to combat the SARS-COVID-19 in addition to enhanced cleaning procedures. This disinfectant called Vital Oxide can be applied to all surfaces and is safe and unscented. We've put together some guidelines we've instructed our housekeepers to put in action based on the recommendations of the CDC, and other leaders in our industry. Amz's Cleaning guidelines Amz is offering some guidelines to follow when we are cleaning the properties in between stays. 1. When available our cleaners will wear disposable gear while cleaning. Personal protective items like gloves and face masks or cloth facial coverings will provide additional protection. Making sure to dispose the PPE out after each cleaning and then immediately and thoroughly wash their hands. 2. Instructing our cleaners to ventilate rooms before they clean. Amz Getaways is requesting our housekeepers and owners allow fresh air to circulate in our properties and if possible, leave all windows open during the entire cleaning process. 3. Encourage frequent hand washing thoroughly before and after each cleaning, or glove change. As we've all heard we ask them to use soap and water, and wash for at least 20 seconds. If that's not possible, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. 4. We request that they clean, then disinfect. Using household and commercial grade cleaners, detergents, or soap and water to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs. Once this has been done the property will be disinfected with the approved disinfectant Vital Oxide using a sprayer and electrostatic sprayer to distribute the product. 5. Using the right disinfectants. We are paying special attention to frequently touched surfaces, like lamp and ceiling fan chains, light switches, doorknobs, remote controls, and faucet handles. (See our full list of surfaces we aim to disinfect further in this guideline.) 6. We will also address the sofas, rugs, drapes, and other soft, porous surfaces. Carefully clean then disinfect with the appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces. If possible, machine-wash items according to the manufacturer's instructions.? 7. We've instructed our team to wash all linens at the highest heat setting recommended. This includes washing the bed sheets, mattress covers, hand and bath towels, kitchen towels, and blankets. Applying a disinfectant to the surfaces while the linens are being washed. Our housekeepers are instructed to wear gloves when handling dirty laundry, and take care to avoid shaking laundry. ? 8. Empty the vacuum cleaner after every cleaning. Amz Getaways team members should wipe down the vacuum cleaner with disinfectant, along with appliances like the dishwasher and washing machine. Amz Guidelines to Cleaning Procedures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 With everything going on around the Coronavirus (Covid-19), and the states and nation beginning to reopen we have added additional procedures for our housekeepers to follow when cleaning our vacation rentals. The safety of our housekeepers, guests, owners, and the public are our top priority. To assist in the preventing the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Amz Getaways will be using a EPA approved hospital grade disinfectant approved to combat the SARS-COVID-19 in addition to enhanced cleaning procedures. This disinfectant called Vital Oxide can be applied to all surfaces and is safe and unscented. We've put together some guidelines we've instructed our housekeepers to put in action based on the recommendations of the CDC, and other leaders in our industry. Amz's Cleaning guidelines Amz is offering some guidelines to follow when we are cleaning the properties in between stays. 1. When available our cleaners will wear disposable gear while cleaning. Personal protective items like gloves and face masks or cloth facial coverings will provide additional protection. Making sure to dispose the PPE out after each cleaning and then immediately and thoroughly wash their hands. 2. Instructing our cleaners to ventilate rooms before they clean. Amz Getaways is requesting our housekeepers and owners allow fresh air to circulate in our properties and if possible, leave all windows open during the entire cleaning process. 3. Encourage frequent hand washing thoroughly before and after each cleaning, or glove change. As we've all heard we ask them to use soap and water, and wash for at least 20 seconds. If that's not possible, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. 4. We request that they clean, then disinfect. Using household and commercial grade cleaners, detergents, or soap and water to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs. Once this has been done the property will be disinfected with the approved disinfectant Vital Oxide using a sprayer and electrostatic sprayer to distribute the product. 5. Using the right disinfectants. We are paying special attention to frequently touched surfaces, like lamp and ceiling fan chains, light switches, doorknobs, remote controls, and faucet handles. (See our full list of surfaces we aim to disinfect further in this guideline.) 6. We will also address the sofas, rugs, drapes, and other soft, porous surfaces. Carefully clean then disinfect with the appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces. If possible, machine-wash items according to the manufacturer's instructions.? 7. We've instructed our team to wash all linens at the highest heat setting recommended. This includes washing the bed sheets, mattress covers, hand and bath towels, kitchen towels, and blankets. Applying a disinfectant to the surfaces while the linens are being washed. Our housekeepers are instructed to wear gloves when handling dirty laundry, and take care to avoid shaking laundry. ? 8. Empty the vacuum cleaner after every cleaning. Amz Getaways team members should wipe down the vacuum cleaner with disinfectant, along with appliances like the dishwasher and washing machine. We have an open kitchen/dining/living area. The kitchen is separated from the other areas by a large rounded bar that seats 8 to 10 with a TV to entertain while feasting and/or to watch sporting events or your TV preference. A separate TV is in the living area as well. The master bedroom is on one side of the house, separated from the other 2 bedrooms by the living areas. Both bedroom sides have separate air conditioners for individual comfort. Fans in each bedroom is an added amenity. The backporch is 12' X 40' and overlooks the Lake and the BBQ area below. Deer frequent the grounds. A couple of foxes also visit from time-to-time. The fox are beautiful to watch. While we do not recommend feeding the fox, corn is provided to feed the deer. Our waterfront home enables boating, swimming, kayaking, fishing or simply skimming rocks across the lake. The boat launch is a 1-mile drive or 15 minute walk from the house. A short 10-minute drive takes you to Crane's Mill Marina where boat slips can be rented on a daily basis and motor/pontoon/sail boat and jet-ski rentals are available. The same marina is a 3 to 5 minute boat ride across the Lake from our home. The Guadalupe Horseshoe is only a 15-minute drive; the same distance accesses fly fishing below the dam. Awesome shopping is available in Wimberley, Bourne, Gruene, Fredricksbrg, the outlet malls in San Marcos and, of course, shopping in Austin and San Antonio--all can be reached within 30 to 60 minutes (Fredricksberg is more in line with an 80 minute drive). Gruene offers live music nightly (summer) and weekends (rest of year). Restaurants abound in these areas or you may prefer a simple home-delivered pizza from Startzville. Amz Guidelines to Cleaning Procedures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 With everything going on around the Coronavirus (Covid-19), and the states and nation beginning to reopen we have added additional procedures for our housekeepers to follow when cleaning our vacation rentals. The safety of our housekeepers, guests, owners, and the public are our top priority. To assist in the preventing the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Amz Getaways will be using a EPA approved hospital grade disinfectant approved to combat the SARS-COVID-19 in addition to enhanced cleaning procedures. This disinfectant called Vital Oxide can be applied to all surfaces and is safe and unscented. We've put together some guidelines we've instructed our housekeepers to put in action based on the recommendations of the CDC, and other leaders in our industry. Amz's Cleaning guidelines Amz is offering some guidelines to follow when we are cleaning the properties in between stays. 1. When available our cleaners will wear disposable gear while cleaning. Personal protective items like gloves and face masks or cloth facial coverings will provide additional protection. Making sure to dispose the PPE out after each cleaning and then immediately and thoroughly wash their hands. 2. Instructing our cleaners to ventilate rooms before they clean. Amz Getaways is requesting our housekeepers and owners allow fresh air to circulate in our properties and if possible, leave all windows open during the entire cleaning process. 3. Encourage frequent hand washing thoroughly before and after each cleaning, or glove change. As we've all heard we ask them to use soap and water, and wash for at least 20 seconds. If that's not possible, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. 4. We request that they clean, then disinfect. Using household and commercial grade cleaners, detergents, or soap and water to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs. Once this has been done the property will be disinfected with the approved disinfectant Vital Oxide using a sprayer and electrostatic sprayer to distribute the product. 5. Using the right disinfectants. We are paying special attention to frequently touched surfaces, like lamp and ceiling fan chains, light switches, doorknobs, remote controls, and faucet handles. (See our full list of surfaces we aim to disinfect further in this guideline.) 6. We will also address the sofas, rugs, drapes, and other soft, porous surfaces. Carefully clean then disinfect with the appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces. If possible, machine-wash items according to the manufacturer's instructions.? 7. We've instructed our team to wash all linens at the highest heat setting recommended. This includes washing the bed sheets, mattress covers, hand and bath towels, kitchen towels, and blankets. Applying a disinfectant to the surfaces while the linens are being washed. Our housekeepers are instructed to wear gloves when handling dirty laundry, and take care to avoid shaking laundry. ? 8. Empty the vacuum cleaner after every cleaning. Amz Getaways team members should wipe down the vacuum cleaner with disinfectant, along with appliances like the dishwasher and washing machine. The Cove on Canyon Lake is an awesome waterfront multi level split level home with different levels connected by two different sets of stairs with several exterior exits. 2 sets of stairs and home on Canyon Lake. A short 10 minute drive to Crane's Mill Marina where boat slips can be rented on a daily basis and motor/pontoon/sail boat and Jet Ski rentals are available. The same marina is a 3 to 5 minute boat ride across the lake from our home. The Guadalupe Horseshoe is only a 15 minute drive; the same distance accesses fly fishing below the dam. Excellent shopping is available in Wimberley, Bourne, Gruene, Fredricksberg, the outlet malls in San Marcos, and of course shopping in Austin and San Antonio. All can be reached within 30-60 minutes (Fredricksberg is more in line within 80 minute drive). Gruene offers live music nightly (summer) and weekends (rest of year). Open floor plan kitchen, dining and living room. Great for large gatherings with plenty of room to sit. Kitchen is nicely updated, and fully stocked with most every utensil and appliance needed! Welcome to Heron Azul- our second vacation rental home in Canyon Lake. This waterfront home is designed and outfitted for a fun, memorable vacation for the whole family! After a successful season last year, we have added a 16x32 swimming pool between 3.5 and 5.5ft deep with a wrap around deck also encasing a new hot tub (or a cool jetted tub for those hot summer evenings A sloping shoreline offers access to the lake. Under the shade of an oak halfway down is the kayak shed with 4 kayaks available for your use (up to 275lbs per kayak - life jackets are provided). The neighborhood swim area is about 200 yards down the shoreline. An umbrella and folding chairs are available with cart to make sure you are comfortale while there. A shortcut to the deeper water is available. On top of that, a public boat ramp is only 2 minutes away. You can launch your boat or jet skis and stop at the house for breaks (boats cannot be kept anchored overnight by law). We know that when families vacation together, they want to have fun. We try to ensure that with a multitude of outdoor of games.
