Small plane crash near Canyon Lake injures 3

Three people were injured in a small plane crash near Canyon Lake in Comal County on Monday afternoon, according to county officials.

At around 1:10 p.m., firefighters and paramedics found a single-engine aircraft crashed just outside a wooded area near a rural subdivision north of Canyon Lake, officials said.

Two adults and one child were extricated form the wreckage. The adults were taken by STAR Flight to Ascension Seton Hays in Kyle and the child was released to a parent who arrived later at the scene, the Canyon Lake Fire Department said.

The plane did not catch fire after the crash.

The incident is being investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Federal Aviation Administration.
